The default assumption
Directors are difficult. They don't respond. They send the wrong documents. They miss questions. The conclusion most firms draw: chasing is just part of pre-appointment work.
It isn't.
It's a function of how the work is set up. When a director gets a PDF shopping list over email, half the items don't apply to them, and the language assumes context they don't have, the default outcome is partial submissions and follow-up cycles. The director didn't fail. The process did.
